Preserving a Legacy. Powering the Future.
Preserving history isn’t just a nicety. It’s a necessity and the foundation on which all future success and innovation are ultimately built. History is a roadmap to our present and a guide for our future. T. Baker Smith is proud to take part in that work.
Today, we are honored to announce the acquisition of the lifelong survey records of Keneth L. Rembert, PLS, a name synonymous with integrity, precision, and dedication across Terrebonne Parish and beyond.
For more than 50 years, Mr. Rembert helped define the landscape of South Louisiana. His work, captured in thousands of plats, field books, maps, and survey files, represents not just property boundaries, but decades of trust, relationships, and professional excellence. His legacy is measured not only in lines drawn on paper, but in the communities he helped shape. That kind of history deserves to be preserved.
This collection is substantial and deeply meaningful. It includes an estimated 572,000 survey file images, 40,000 maps, and hundreds of field and index books, a true archive of regional history and technical craftsmanship.
We are proud to carry this legacy forward.
At T. Baker Smith, these records will be preserved, digitized, and integrated into our advanced data platform, TBS Insights, ensuring that Mr. Rembert’s life’s work remains accessible, searchable, and impactful for generations to come. His work will stand alongside that of our founder, T. Baker Smith, and Wm. Clifford Smith, continuing a shared tradition of excellence in surveying and engineering.
Most importantly, we extend our sincere gratitude to the Rembert family for entrusting us with this responsibility. We are committed to honoring his legacy with the respect it deserves.
Great work doesn’t fade. It evolves.
