The Challenge
The Tiger Drive Bridge was an aging 1970’s 9-span precast bridge founded on timber piles in need of replacement due to being functionally obsolete, and its location to nearby busy intersections and local businesses and schools.

The Solution
TBS provided integrated engineering services to replace the bridge with a three-lane cast-in-place bridge that allows for left turn lanes on the structure to better serve the nearby intersections of LA 308 and LA 1. TBS was responsible for the design of all special bridge elements (bents, spans, rails, and approach slabs) and the steel sheet pile bulkhead in accordance with LRFD design procedures.
