Services Performed by T. Baker Smith, Inc.:

• Engineering Group completed a feasibility study on two sites to determine best location for the project. Based on this study, Gulf South Pipeline decided to proceed with the project at the Grand Bayou facility.
• Survey Group conducted preliminary route surveys to determine best location for proposed pipelines. Aboveground topography and underground utilities and pipelines were located during this survey. Color aerial photography was acquired of the entire project site.
• Drawings were prepared for use in acquiring FERC (Federal Energy Regulatory Commission) permits.
• Right-of-way plats were prepared from results of route survey and title work provided by the client.
• Highway crossing permit applications and drawings were prepared for several state highway crossings.
• Preliminary alignment sheets for each of the proposed pipelines were prepared.
• Preconstruction staking — Centerline, limits of permanent right-of-way, temporary construction right-of-way, temporary workspace, and all underground utilities and pipelines were staked in the field prior to construction.
• Construction / as-built survey — Field crew was present throughout construction phase to provide support services. After right-of-way clearing, centerline was re-staked. Survey crew monitored pipe ditch depth to ensure minimum depth of cover on pipeline would be achieved. Pipe tally was kept on joint lengths, welder ID, X-ray numbers, and wall thickness and pipe coating for all pipe joints. Horizontal and vertical as-built survey of pipeline in pipe ditch prior to backfilling was performed. Stakeout for directional drills and road bores were done at this time. Cut / fill staking and facility layout was performed for new well pad site and new compressor station.
• As-built alignment sheets were prepared from the construction / as-built survey.
